This year, NeoCon had a vibrant energy that I’ve not experienced for several years. Attendance was up, with lots of visitors enjoying the bold colors that vibrated in most show rooms.

Momentum Group had a clever display that encapsulated the show vibe: a rockin’ pulse! (above)

It’s no wonder Momentum won the award for best show room. Check out this clever display with their fibers. I respect manufacturers that can find new ways to engage people with their products. Creating the brand experience definitely extends beyond the products themselves.

At shows like NeoCon, we look for texture inspiration. This year we found a few beauties. Carnegie hired a local artist to make some beautiful wall art pieces with their wall coverings. Hmm, how can we translate this idea to a great new Varia interlayer?

This wall feature in the Teknion show room stopped me in my tracks! It wrapped around to form a box in the center of the space. Kudos to them for big scale with big impact. What a great way to draw people into a space.

The Bernhardt show room had a coffee bar with a vein cut stone that was nearly identical to our newly launched Onyx product. This installation got my mind churning about a new Ready to Go solution we could create.

All in all, NeoCon was a great opportunity to share our own ideas while being inspired by our awesome peers.

See our new products.
